The Phoebe Apperson Hearst Museum of Anthropology is located in Kroeber Hall. Due to state budgetary cuts, the University is closed through January 6. The collections storage area is open for research on weekdays only. Anyone wishing to visit the collections must make arrangements in writing, no later than November 15, 2009, with

The main exhibit in January will still be Traje de la Vida: Maya Textiles of Guatemala, including backstrap weaving demonstrations by Martina Jiménez Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, through January 17 (excluding December 24 through January 7).
